Chickadee

The blacked-capped chickadee is our favorite frequent backyard bird, and we get to enjoy them daily all year-round. They are adorably sized, cheerful, and very entertaining to observe. While it is always fun to see new and even rare birds, many times it’s the birds I see consistently that bring the deepest joy and peace because they are like a faithful friend and remind me that God is always with me.

Psalm 16:8 "I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me."

This one is a mountain chickadee - equally beloved but a rare visitor to our yard. We see them at a little higher elevation. You can see the difference in it’s head.
