Downy Woodpecker

The Downy Woodpecker is another visitor to our backyard, but we spotted this one at a nearby nature area and have discovered his fondness to a specific group of trees. The Downy is the smallest woodpecker in North America and the third smallest woodpecker in the world.

This one is noticeably a male shown by his beautiful red spot on the back of his head. He was pecking vigorously at the tree, persistently doing what he needed to do.

Galatians 6:9 "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."

I pray God’s persevering strength would be with you today and that you would reap His many blessings!
